From AI Policy to AI Practice: How to comply with the EU AI Act.
Course Aims
This course will help radio stations move from an industry approved AI policy to responsible AI practice. It will explain the EU AI Act in clear language and use realistic, department-specific scenarios to show how the sector’s AI policy should be applied across a radio station.
Participants will consider the responsibilities of managers and staff, where AI can be used safely, when human oversight is required and how to recognise and manage potential risks.

- The risk-based approach of the EU AI Act
- AI literacy responsibilities for stations, managers and staff
- How to apply the radio sector’s approved AI policy

Who is this content for?
This course is initially aimed at station managers, general managers, department heads and those responsible for production, news, editorial, programmes, research, sales, marketing and operations.
Following the management session, the training can be adapted and rolled out to all radio station staff, focusing on their individual responsibilities and the practical application of the station’s AI policy.
Training Method
This course will be delivered live online over 2.5 hours.
The session will combine plain-English explanations of the EU AI Act with practical, scenario-based learning. Participants will work through realistic examples from different radio departments and consider how the approved AI policy should be applied in each situation.
