Learning Waves Journalism Graduate Programme 2019

About the Programme

The Learning Waves Journalism Graduate Programme is a unique and innovative programme designed and supported by the Independent Commercial Radio Sector along with the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland(BAI) and Skillnet Ireland.

A total of 5 graduates have been placed in 5 different radio stations across Ireland for a period of 5 months.  The placement of the graduates follows a rigorous selection and interview process by Learning Waves, the BAI and Independent Consultants.  A total of 12 graduates were selected for interview and following the interview process, the final 5 graduates were selected. 

The programme was formally launched by Learning Waves and the BAI on 19th September 2019. 

Broadcasting has enormous potential to open windows on the world, to open awareness of news and emerging ideas and to open minds.
