Course Aims

A series of Learning Waves courses to help stations plan their election and count coverage. The workshops will be delivered by Andrea Martin and Sarah Kieran from MediaLawyer and Simon Devilly,lecturer in Maynooth University.
The workshops will cover two elements in relation to your coverage of the election :
Legal and regulatory content to include:

  • Preparing your coverage statement
  • What the BAI expects you to do
  • What the candidates and parties will expect
  • Practicalities of achieving fairness in interviews, debates, panel discussions

    A series of Learning Waves courses to help stations plan and prepare for upcoming Referenda in 2018 and 2019. The workshops will be delivered by Andrea Martin and Sarah Kieran from MediaLawyer along with Declan McLoughlin from the BAI.  


    The workshops will cover the following in relation to the upcoming Referenda :

    Training Method

    The course will be delivered over a 3 our workshop with a combination of presentations from trainers followed by a question and answer session.
