Bauer Media Audio Ireland Appoints Music & Metro Managing Editor.

Bauer Media Audio Ireland (BMAI) has appointed Andy Matthews to the role of Managing Editor, Music and Metro, where he will lead the audience growth strategy for Dublin’s 98FM, Cork’s Red FM and oversee the music strategy for all Bauer stations and digital audio services ensuring the music mix is audience-focused, brand-aligned, and data-informed.  

Andy is a highly accomplished radio executive and consultant with more than 30 years of experience in programming, content strategy, and talent management. As Managing Director of Triple M Media, he has provided consultancy services to leading radio stations across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.

Previously, he held senior programming roles at FM104 and 98FM, where he developed multiple award-winning shows and guided 98FM to become Dublin’s number one music station. Andy also drove significant audience growth during his time with Classic Hits. 

Andy founded and developed Airserv and RadioBox, delivering in-store music and advertising solutions for major retail brands in Ireland and the UK.
