  • 10th February, 2025

Off The Ball has today, 10th February 2025,  signed an exclusive national radio deal with the League of Ireland which will see the radio and online broadcaster air 30 live SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division matches across the upcoming season. A minimum of 15 fixtures will be broadcast on Newstalk featuring live commentary throughout as well as post-match analysis.

Off The Ball heavyweights Nathan Murphy and Stephen Doyle will share commentator duties across the season. Fans can enjoy the moment-by-moment action on Off The Ball online channels as well as on their flagship Newstalk evening show.

As well as the live broadcasts, Off The Ball’s current League of Ireland coverage will also feature a weekly League of Ireland podcast, LOI Late Night on X Spaces along with pre- and post-match analysis on Off The Ball’s morning and evening shows.

The league starts on Friday, February 14th with Shelbourne taking on Derry City. Off The Ball will be live from Tolka Park with all the action.

Commenting on today’s big announcement, Off The Ball’s Managing Director Ger Gilroy said: “Everyone in Off The Ball is incredibly excited to bring football fans across the country live commentary of the League of Ireland every Friday night. There has been a massive surge in interest in the League and we’re delighted to be onboard for the coming season. We look forward to providing an unprecedented level of coverage, with live match commentary, pre- and post-match analysis, podcasts and the ever-popular LOI Late Night. This deal is a win for Irish audiences and the community of fans who’ve always supported the game and coupled with our existing English Premier League broadcasting rights, it’s made Off The Ball the home of football”

League of Ireland, Director, Mark Scanlon, said: “We’re delighted to bring further news of increased coverage for the League of Ireland through this new agreement with Off the Ball which will see SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division fixtures live across national radio for the 2025 season.
