Radio Days Ireland 2025 Speaker Announcements.

Radio Days Ireland 2025 is set to be a landmark event for the Irish radio industry, bringing together professionals, innovators, and enthusiasts to explore the evolving landscape of radio broadcasting. The conference is being organised by Learning Waves and the Independent Broadcasters of Ireland (IBI), and will take place on March 27th and 28th, 2025, at The Gibson Hotel in Dublin.

Event Overview

Building upon the success of previous years, Radio Days Ireland 2025 aims to provide a platform for insightful discussions, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities. The conference is expected to feature 25 speakers and attract over 200 delegates from more than 35 companies, representing the vibrant and inclusive culture of the Irish radio industry.

This conference boasts an impressive first lineup of speakers who are set to share their expertise and perspectives on various facets of the radio industry:

  • James Cridland: Editor of Podnews and a renowned radio futurologist, James will provide insights into the future of radio, emphasizing human connection and shared experiences in broadcasting.
  • Laura Costello: As the Head of Sustainability and Planet Services at THINKHOUSE, Laura will discuss the importance of sustainability in media and how radio can contribute to environmental consciousness.
  • Mamobo Ogoro: A social psychologist and multi-award-winning social entrepreneur, Mamobo is CEO and Founder of Gorm,  she will explore themes of diversity and inclusion, highlighting how radio can serve as a platform for underrepresented voices.
  • Niall Power: Head of Station Sound at Beat 102-103, Niall will share his expertise on creating compelling audio content and the significance of sound design in engaging audiences.
  • Jim Gavin: Chief Operations Officer of the Irish Aviation Authority, Jim will offer a unique perspective on leadership, sport, operational excellence, drawing parallels between aviation, sport and broadcasting.
