Learning Waves launches Senior Management Training Programme

Learning Waves Skillnet, is today, delighted to announce the launch of its bespoke Senior Management Training Programme.  This programme which is called Manage | Lead | Inspire has been developed by the industry towards the end of 2020 and in response to the challenges faced by senior managers across the industry since the pandemic.  The programme aims to support senior managers across the industry to :

  • Re-imagine leadership as a result of Covid 19
  • Enhance their skills to enable them to unlock the human potential in their organisation
  • Learn how to effectively lead others by understanding themselves

 

The programme consists of 4 modules and the unique selling point on this programme is that it combines 4 hours of individual coaching for each participant over the duration of the course.  The programme will be delivered over a period of 6 months, with an Introductory module on 2nd March 2021.  The 4 core modules will be delivered from April to July 2021.  The programme is limited to 12 participants with a maximum of two participants from any one member organisation.  Participants must be nominated by their manager to take part in the programme. 

The course will be delivered by Garrett Harte from Harte Media alongside Russell and Alison Beck from Imagine ThinkDo.  The modules include the following :

  • Communicating Station Vision
  • Leading and Managing Teams (remotely)
  • Self Awareness as a Manager
  • Managing Difficult People/Situations

After each module, participants can access one hour coaching with Alison Beck. 

The course trainers include :

Garrett Harte – Harte Media

Garrett is the Managing Director of Harte Media, a strategic communications agency working with companies and individuals on business development, media relations, media training and content creation. His client portfolio ranges across sectors to include broadcast media, finance, public sector, education, technology and advertising.
He is a Senior Industry Advisor with the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development and visiting Lecturer at the School of Communications with Dublin City University.

As the former Editor in Chief of Newstalk, he has led and shaped the national current affairs debate on critical political, financial, social and cultural events for many years, and during this time has mentored a host of leading Irish broadcasters including Ivan Yates, Claire Byrne and Pat Kenny. Garrett also coached and mentored scores of producers, researchers and reporters, many of whom are key leaders in Ireland’s broadcast media today.


Alison Beck – Imagine ThinkDo

Alison has a rich history of working in the UK and internationally as a strategy and change consultant, executive coach and facilitator with a very broad mix of clients.  She enjoys working with teams at every level in organisations and has a great respect for difference and a passion for drawing out the unique perspectives of everyone.
In her coaching role Alison has supported executives to successfully lead transformational change, to become more strategic and to communicate and influence more effectively.  

Russell Beck – Imagine ThinkDo

As an engineer Russell is not your average people person.  He blends an engineers desire for knowledge, an inquisitive need for evidence and a belief that things can be better with an inspirational, charismatic and thought provoking style.  Russell draws on a diverse background having worked as an engineering project leader in 26 countries as a Managing Director of a €120m outsourcing business.
