Radio Days Ireland 2020 Schedule Announced

Radio Days Ireland 2020 Schedule Announced.

Learning Waves and IBI are delighted to announce the schedule for Radio Days Ireland 2020.  The two day conference will take place on the 20th and 21st February 2020 in the Gibson Hotel in Dublin.  The event will build on the 2018 conference which saw 39 speakers present to an audience of over 250 people.  The 2020 schedule is available on www.radiodaysireland.ie and can be viewed below. 

The conference will open at 2pm on Thursday 20th February 2020 with a welcome from Lena Murphy, Chairperson of Learning Waves and Financial Director of WLR FM and Beat in Waterford.

Schedule for Thursday 20th February 2020 :

2.10pm          Official Conference Opening

2.30pm         The Future of Radio Debate with Celene Craig, BAI, Roddy Flynn, DCU, and Jim Jennings RTE.  This session will be moderated by    Pat Kenny from Newstalk.

3.30pm          My Radio Career with Paul Keenan, President of Audio, Bauer Media

4pm                Coffee Break

4.15pm          Cross Media Research with Liedewji Hentenaar, Director, RAB, Netherlands and Franks Kok, National Listening Research, Netherlands

4.15pm           Breakout Session with Paul Fernely from ReelWorld and Gareth Roberts from BBC on Evolving your stations sound | Refreshing your sound | Retaining Localness

5pm               The Future of News in a Changing Media Environment with Aine Kerr, Kinzen, Damien Tiernan, WLR FM, Donie O'Sullivan, CNN and Eimear NiBhroanain, KCLR 96FM.  This session will be moderated by Sinead Spain from Communicorp Media.

6pm               Conference Close

8pm               Conference Dinner - Enterrainment to be provided by IMRO guests on the night.

11.45am        Election 2020 - A New Era for Radio and Politics with Iain Dale, Mandy Johnston and Daniel Browne

11.45am        Breakout Session 3 - Podcasting and the Opportunities for Radio.  Patrick Haughey speaks to PJ Gallagher, Suzanne Kane and Matt Deegan

12.30pm        The Impact of Radio on our Career - Johnny O'Brien and Johnny McMahon - The Two Johnnies in conversation with Fergal D'Arcy.

1pm                Leadership in Business and Sport - Liam Sheedy in conversation with Adrian Barry.
