Skillnets appoints new Chief Executive Officer

Skillnets appoints new Chief Executive Officer.

  • 30th November, -0001

Skillnets, the national agency responsible for funding and supporting training networks, has appointed Paul Healy as its new Chief Executive Officer. Mr Healy brings strong expertise in HR, Learning and Development to the role, and over 20 years of experience in commercial environments.

Speaking about his recent appointment, Mr Healy said: “I am delighted to take on this new challenge of leading Skillnets as it supports enterprise to build talent, create opportunities for people in business, and address current and future skills needs. This is an exciting time for Skillnets as it enters a new phase of development aligned with economic recovery and the changing needs of enterprise. I look forward to working with both policy makers and business to identify areas of future growth and develop training solutions to capitalise on emerging opportunities in the marketplace.”

Chairman of Skillnets, Brendan Mc Ginty said: “Skillnets is fortunate to have a person of Paul’s calibre, experience and professionalism to lead the organisation as it develops a new strategy for the coming years. Skillnets is the only enterprise-led organisation in Ireland working with businesses and people to develop skills and competencies, as a key strategic tool in achieving competitiveness and business improvement.

Paul has a deep understanding of education and training policy, the operation of the labour market, and the needs of enterprise. The Board looks forward to working with Paul to ensure that Skillnets continues to have a strong impact on the delivery of enterprise-led training, supporting businesses to grow and stimulating economic growth.”
