Course Brief

Our First Aid Response Courses qualifies you to work as a Certified First Aider in the work place and to administer First Aid Care. This course also addresses Legal Requirements in the workplace Safety,Health and Welfare at Work Regulations 2007.

First Aid Response is a comprehensive First aid course, covering all aspects of First aid in the work place. It has been developed by the HSA through Phecc. It is accredited by Phecc. This course covers everything you need to be a First Aid Response first aider for the workplace.

Training Method

This course is highly interactive with each theory session being followed by demonstration, practical tasks and assessment of indivdiual skills.

Target Trainee Profile

Those involved in administering First Aid in their station or member company.


Assessment

This course includes an assessment in order to gain certification.  The assessment includes a combination of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and a Practical Assessment

All assessments are carried out in accordance with PHECC requirements and is internally authenticated before certification is issued. All participants have the right to appeal their results.

All successful candidates in the MCQ and practical exams will be awarded a PHECC certificate which is valid for 2 years.

To pass this course the participant will need an 80% pass rate.


Notes


The course is a 3 day course delivered over a 3 week period. During Covid 19 the first 2 days of the course will be delivered online with the practical assessment being carried out when restrictions are lifted.
