European and Local Elections : What Radio Stations Need to Know.

The statutory and regulatory obligations applying to election coverage by radio broadcasters, include European Parliamentary Elections and Local Elections. This course explores the practical implications of those obligations on broadcasters in the run-up to the European and Local Elections in May 2019, including issues such as achieving balance and fairness, the moratorium and reporting on election day. Also voting in relation to the election of Mayors in certain areas, Cork. Dublin, Galway, Limerick and Cork will also take place on the day.

The workshop will cover all of the above scenarios and will be delivered by Andrea Martin and Sarah Kieran from MediaLawyer alongside politicial analyst and election expert Simon Devilly.
