Independent Sector collects 73 awards at PPI Ceremony.

The Independent Radio Sector collected 73 awards at the PPI Awards on Friday 12th October 2012.  This is made up of 22 Gold Awards, 25 Silver Awards and 26 Bronze Awards.  Awards were collected in the Music Programming, News and Sport Programming, Speech Programming, General Programming and Personalities category.  The sector also collected Local Station of the Year which went to WLRFM and Music Station of the Year which was awarded to FM104 for the second year in a row. 

The PPI radio awards recognise the best in terms of art and skill in radio production and programming and such an achievement by the sector highlights and recognises the exceptional levels of skill and talent that exist within the sector.  Congratulations to all our winners.
