Learning Waves secures 3 year funding from Skillnet Ireland.

Learning Waves is delighted to announce that it has signed a contract with Skillnet Ireland which secures 3 year funding for the delivery of training and learning initiatives through Learning Waves Skillnet.  The contract sees a minimum amount of funding secured for 2020-2022, funding which will be matched by Learning Waves members.  The network can apply for additional funding for 2021 at the end of 2020. 

In additonal to Skillnet Ireland funding, Learning Waves has also secured funding from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland(BAI) under the Sectoral Learning and Development funding for 2020.  This funding will enable the network to work with its members on bespoke initiatives designed to enhance to overall output of the station.  In addition to this, funding secured from the BAI will see Learning Waves deliver Radio Days Ireland 2020, workshops in relation to the Impact of Technology on the Future of Radio and will also see members of the Board of Learning Waves attend Radio Days Europe to source trainers, speakers and to learn about best practice initiatives in the radio industry in Europe and abroad.
