Mobile Journalism - Harness the Power of your Mobile phone
  • 4th May, 2016

Are you harnessing the potential of your smartphone to create content for your radio station, it's website and social media platforms?.  The power of the smartphone has changed the way in which many stories are created and reported on across many media platforms and radio and TV are fast adopting this technology.  However, the core skills of a journalist are still the most essential part of the role. Fairness, objectivity, accuracy, impartiality, credibility, verifiability and sound editorial judgement are, and will continue to be, the cornerstone of journalism, irrespective of platform. However,  journalists have an opportunity to add value to their role by enhancing their skill set. Being aware of technology trends  experimenting with and becoming proficient with these new tools can only be advantageous in the medium term.

To find out more about Smartphone Technology and how it can work for you, join us at one of our upcoming workshops in Letterkenny or Dublin in January 2016.  The 2 day workshops will be delivered by Glen Mulcahy, Innovation Lead, Technology with RTE.
