This is Part 2 of our Podcasting course and participants must have completed Part 1 in order to take part in this workshop. This element of the course will be highly practical with a focus being placed on content created by participants following Part 1 of the course.
1. Review of Trailers
This workshop will begin with a review of trailers produced by participants. Participants hear each other’s trailers in advance of the session – everyone in the group chooses three to comment / feedback on at the start of the session. If people do not have the time or resources to actually put together a trailer, then they can have a couple of minutes to outline their idea at the start of this session.
2. Create your amplification plan
This covers how to break your podcast up into a number of different pieces of content to promote it across social (using the material they prepared since the last session)
It will include live demos of 2/3 software programmes that make this quick and easy
It will also include a demo of the software used to publish the podcast to Apple, Spotify etc and how to get audience metrics
If we have time, participants can take time to create a piece of content using one of these software programmes – we can view each other’s work at the end of the session or else make it available for people to view afterwards.
